Area Collections Executive

• Convert overdue accounts to current status by visiting clients and making collection calls.
• Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives/Energy Officers to reduce default rates through follow-up on delinquent customers.
• Identify, report, and investigate suspected fraud or tampering cases.
• Escalate complex cases such as client complaints, tampering, and fraud, working closely with the Fraud Management team.
• Train field agents on key risk processes including collection techniques and repossession.
• Monitor and ensure field agents complete collection calls and repossession tasks on schedule.
• Analyze area portfolio and repayment trends to develop strategies that improve collection rates.
• Conduct mystery market visits to assess sales quality and gather insights to address delinquent accounts.
• Provide weekly updates to Sales and Risk management teams on interventions, results, and customer insights.
• Design, pilot, and implement collection processes to enhance repayments and customer satisfaction.

• Hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a Criminology-related field.
• Have at least 2 years of experience, preferably in collections or fraud identification and investigation.
• Credit management experience in MFI, Bank, Fintech, or PAYGO company is an added advantage.
• Demonstrate excellent people relations skills.
• Possess fraud detection and investigation skills.
• Show attention to detail.
• Have advanced Excel skills.
• Exhibit problem-solving abilities.
• Display good communication and presentation skills.
• Have good planning and organisation skills.
• Previous experience in field collections is an added advantage.
