Kilimani’s job market is dispersed along Lenana Road, Ngong Road, Argwings Kodhek Road, Ring Road Kilimani and smaller streets. The mix includes development organisations, private clinics, diplomatic missions, media, co-working spaces, restaurants and Yaya Centre tenants. That makes “jobs in Kilimani” a location search rather than one sector: programme finance and monitoring roles can appear a few streets from retail, reception or clinical work.

Several names regularly get placed in Kilimani by old directories even after moving. iHub is now on James Gichuru Road in Lavington, and Amref Health Africa is on Langata Road. Nairobi Hospital belongs to Upper Hill although Argwings Kodhek Road connects the areas. This guide uses current verified addresses and leaves out missions whose locations could only be found in an outdated 2014 directory.

Lenana Road alone illustrates the area’s employment mix: PATH and Oxfam list offices around ACS Plaza, while Population Services Kenya lists its head office at Jumuia Place. Transparency International Kenya publishes opportunities from the wider Ngong Road and Ring Road Kilimani area, and Nairobi Garage operates a large co-working site at Pinetree Plaza. These addresses support searches for programme, grants, monitoring, finance, communications and operations work, but they do not create one shared recruitment channel. Each organisation sets its own eligibility, deadline and submission route, so a neighbourhood list is a starting point rather than an application instruction.

For NGO and development roles, identify the legal employer and country office before tailoring the application. Programme, monitoring and evaluation, grants, finance, communications and operations roles can sit in the same small office, but they need different evidence. Use the vacancy’s project, donor or technical language only when your experience supports it. If the role is regional, verify whether Nairobi is the duty station, a possible location or simply the office publishing the advert.

For clinics, hotels, restaurants and retail tenants, search by the business name as well as by Kilimani. A listing may use Hurlingham, Yaya, Ngong Road or Argwings Kodhek instead. Confirm the venue through its official website or verified social page, then compare the application contact. A residential-looking address is not automatically suspicious in Kilimani because many offices occupy converted houses, but a recruiter who hides the organisation and asks for payment remains a clear reason to stop.

Commute planning should start from the street, not the neighbourhood. Lenana Road, Yaya, Prestige and Dagoretti Corner sit on different routes. Ask for the building and nearest landmark before the interview, then check which side of the road the stage serves. For late hospitality or clinical shifts, confirm the finishing time and safe return route. The guide does not quote a single travel time because traffic and the starting point change the answer too much.
