What you will do
- Achieve collection targets for overdue debts within assigned branches or portfolio.
- Follow the Debt Recovery Cycle and company collections policy strictly.
- Advise clients proactively to prevent accounts from becoming delinquent.
- Manage relationships with collection agencies, investigators, auctioneers, yards, and valuers.
- Keep portfolio at risk below the assigned threshold.
- Coordinate asset liquidation and repossession, including car-track monitoring and auction coordination.
- Engage with external advocates on legal cases, monitor court proceedings, and provide timely updates.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection and repossession reports for the supervisor.
- Provide recovery trend information to the supervisor to support credit decisions.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security of customer and company information.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in a business-related field or have equivalent experience.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in collections, debt recovery, or asset-finance recovery.
- Have at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Understand the debt recovery cycle and negotiation techniques.
- Be skilled in coordinating repossession and asset liquidation.
- Be familiar with car-tracking systems.
- Demonstrate persuasive, assertive, and professional communication skills.
- Remain composed under pressure.
- Exhibit ethical conduct and trustworthiness.
- Be willing to travel for site visits.
