Shipping and Maritime Officer [2]

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following fields:-Maritime and Shipping Management, Maritime Management, Coastal and Marine Management, Port Management, Economics, Logistics and Fleet Management from a university recognized in Kenya.

This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include: (i) collecting and collating data on shipping and maritime affairs; (ii) drafting briefs and reports on shipping and maritime matters; (iii) preparing preliminary working documents for sensitization of stakeholders on safety, security, and prevention of marine environment by ships and other watercraft.
