What you will do

  • Support the rollout of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS) by communicating with the system developer, testing features, and resolving issues.
  • Prepare, clean, and migrate employee data into the new HRIS while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and training of HR staff and employees on the new system.
  • Monitor the HRIS after launch to ensure smooth operation and escalate technical problems as needed.
  • Maintain and update a tracker for employee letters, contracts, and renewal dates, alerting the HR team about upcoming expirations.
  • Draft and prepare standard HR letters and correspondence for review and approval.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department including filing, record-keeping, data entry, onboarding, and offboarding tasks.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from a recognised Kenyan university.
  • At least one year of experience in an HR role or internship.
  • Prior exposure to or interaction with HRIS systems is mandatory.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Experience in the tech industry is preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing work environment.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
  • High discretion, integrity, and confidentiality when handling employee data.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
