What you will do

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and accounting support tasks.
  • Prepare and issue invoices using QuickBooks Online.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing Profit & Loss reports.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and keep accurate records.
  • Perform M-Pesa reconciliations and ensure proper transaction recording.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist with filing and organizing accounting documents.
  • Support preparation and submission of statutory returns and payments.
  • Help with KRA iTax processes and ensure tax compliance.
  • Support preparation and filing of VAT returns.
  • Assist with PAYE and Withholding Tax procedures.
  • Maintain records for NSSF and SHIF compliance.
  • Manage the reception/front office and serve as the first contact for customers and visitors.
  • Respond professionally to customer inquiries and direct telephone calls.
  • Welcome visitors and maintain an organized reception area.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Assist with stock management and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Provide general administrative support to front and back office operations.

Requirements

  • Hold CPA Part II or a Diploma in Accounting from a recognized institution.
  • Have practical experience using QuickBooks Online, including invoicing, bank reconciliations, profit & loss reporting, and petty cash management.
  • Possess working knowledge of KRA iTax processes, including VAT, PAYE, and Withholding Tax.
  • Understand NSSF and SHIF compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, front office, or administrative roles is an advantage.

Benefits

The salary offered is between KSh 20,000 and 25,000 per month.
