What you will do

  • Visit assigned customers and outlets following the sales route.
  • Sell and distribute products within the assigned area.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Identify new customers and expand the customer base.
  • Take customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor product availability and maintain displays.
  • Check stock levels and recommend replenishment.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within the route.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  • Gather customer and market feedback.
  • Maintain accurate sales and customer records.
  • Prepare daily sales and route reports.
  • Follow up on payments and outstanding balances.
  • Plan and manage daily sales routes effectively.
  • Ensure regular coverage of assigned customers and outlets.
  • Maximise sales opportunities within the territory.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in route sales, FMCG, fresh produce, agribusiness, distribution, or retail sales.
  • Experience selling directly to kiosks, mama mbogas, retailers, or small businesses is an advantage.
  • A valid driving licence or motorcycle riding licence is an advantage.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
