What you will do
- Assist in setting up and strategising pharmacy operations for the maternity facility, including obtaining necessary licensure.
- Manage the use of medicines within the facility for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Oversee the sale of prescribed medicines to clients and possibly external customers.
- Keep detailed records of all medicine usage, with special attention to controlled substances.
- Develop internal and external safeguards for the storage and dispensing of pharmacy products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including reception tasks.
Requirements
- Hold a diploma or degree in pharmacy from a recognised university or college.
- Have an active pharmaceutical technologist licence from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Have at least 6 years of experience working as a licensed pharmaceutical technologist in a busy pharmacy.
- Have experience in setting up start-up pharmacy operations in a health facility.
- Possess excellent analytical reasoning skills and strong attention to detail.
- Be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Show commitment to providing high-quality care and excellence.
- Be able to work effectively in a culturally diverse team environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to use initiative to solve problems.
