Medical Contact Centre Assistant (1 Year Fixed-Term Contract)

• Answer customer calls and emails professionally and provide information.
• Log cases in the CRM system and assign tickets to the correct person or department.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and instructions received via calls and emails.
• Interact with clients, intermediaries, and service providers to ensure care is provided according to policy guidelines.
• Set parameters for admission cases including claim reserves, initial authorized costs, cover benefits, and duration.
• Respond to queries by interviewing clients and verifying information, liaising with underwriters on coverage.
• Ensure medical scheme members receive round-the-clock attention.
• Prepare periodic reports on medical matters for management.
• Maintain and improve quality by adhering to standards and recommending improved procedures.
• Issue outpatient approvals via email as per service level agreements.
• Facilitate patient admissions and discharges appropriately.
• Log interactions in the CRM for traceability and visibility.
• Maintain and monitor telephone budget to ensure lines divert to E1 lines.
• Operate within the approved Delegated Authority Matrix.

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing or a related medical field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of Britam products and services.
