Geologist[2]

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: - Petroleum Geo-Science, Geology, Petroleum Geology, Petroleum Exploration & Production or Earth Science from a university recognized in Kenya.

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include: - (i) collecting and compiling petroleum related geological data; (ii) assisting in execution of planned geological field surveys for oil and gas projects; (iii) participating in analysis of mapped sedimentary basins; (iv) participating in the preparation of petroleum related reports; and (v) compiling oil and gas information for relevant stakeholders.
