DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, government, NGO, development, and institutional markets through targeted prospecting, networking, referrals, market research, events, and digital channels.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by qualifying leads, understanding client training needs, preparing proposals, and moving prospects through the sales process.
- Develop and implement online and offline business development strategies to consistently generate qualified leads and achieve revenue targets.
Corporate Client Engagement & Sales
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HR managers, L&D professionals, procurement teams, senior management, government officials, NGO representatives, and other key decision-makers.
- Understand client organizational needs and recommend relevant training programs, workshops, capacity-building solutions, and professional development offerings.
- Conduct presentations, client meetings, consultations, negotiations, and follow-ups to convert prospects into paying clients and secure repeat business.
Marketing & Market Development
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, events, partnerships, and other activities that increase market visibility and generate business opportunities.
- Research target markets, industry trends, competitor offerings, client needs, and emerging training requirements to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop strategic partnerships and networks with organizations, professional bodies, institutions, and other stakeholders that can contribute to business development.
Account Management & Business Growth
- Manage existing client accounts, maintain regular engagement, identify additional training requirements, and drive repeat and cross-selling opportunities.
- Track proposals, quotations, negotiations, contracts, client feedback, and sales activities using appropriate CRM or digital systems.
- Prepare regular business development reports covering pipeline performance, sales activities, conversions, market opportunities, and challenges, and recommend actions to improve performance.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within B2B, corporate, government, NGO, professional services, or training environments.
- Demonstrated experience in acquiring and managing institutional or corporate clients.
- Proven ability to generate leads, develop sales pipelines, prepare proposals, negotiate, and close business.
- Experience selling training, consultancy, professional services, capacity-building programs, or other intangible services will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of both digital and traditional sales and marketing approaches.
