About this role

Work directly with farmers to understand their farming practices, challenges, and production needs, while providing practical agronomic guidance.
Conduct farm visits, field demonstrations, farmer trainings, and product education activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, and other agricultural stakeholders.

Identify and onboard new farmers to purchase and use company agricultural products.
Promote company products by demonstrating their benefits and suitability to farmers’ needs and farming practices.
Support achievement of sales and farmer acquisition targets through field-based business development activities.

Conduct field assessments and gather information on crops, farming practices, market needs, and emerging agricultural opportunities.
Support market development activities, farmer mobilization, agricultural events, demonstrations, and other field initiatives.
Provide regular feedback on farmer needs, competitor activities, product performance, and market trends.

Maintain accurate records of farmer interactions, farm visits, product adoption, sales leads, and farmer onboarding activities.
Prepare regular field reports covering farmer engagement, sales activities, market developments, and key challenges.
Work closely with the sales, technical, and management teams to improve farmer adoption and business growth.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Science, or a related agricultural field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience as an Agronomist, preferably in field operations, agricultural sales, or agri-inputs.
Practical understanding of agricultural practices, crop production, and farming operations.
Experience working directly with farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, or rural communities.
Demonstrated ability to acquire and onboard farmers to purchase agricultural products.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Experience in agricultural input sales, distribution, or farmer advisory services will be an added advantage.
