How to search for real jobs in Kenya without burning out
Build a weekly routine around identifiable employers, credible institutions and applications you can follow up on.
A job search becomes less overwhelming when it has a small repeatable system. The goal is not to open every listing. It is to find roles with a real source, make a strong application and keep a record of what deserves a follow-up.
Start with a narrow target
Pick two or three role families, the places you can work and the experience you can honestly show. A focused search makes it easier to recognise a relevant opening and prevents each new post from resetting your plan.
Follow original sources
Prioritise an employer, institution, professional body or reputable organisation that can be identified and checked. A listing should tell you who is hiring, what the deadline is and where the application actually goes.
Keep an application record
Write down the role, source, date, deadline, version of your CV and next action. The simple record helps you follow up intelligently and stops you from applying to the same unclear post twice.
