The National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL), the government agency that tests the quality of medicines, has advertised 25 posts across 21 roles. Every post is a two year contract. The advert says the lab is carrying out a health emergency preparedness project with the World Bank, and that it wants to reach World Health Organization Maturity Level 3.

The biggest group is 11 analyst posts in laboratory and pharmaceutical work, at principal and senior level. The other posts cover quality assurance, internal audit, supply chain, administration, planning, finance, human resources, ICT, health and safety, legal work and driving.

Most of these roles need experience. Principal analysts need nine years of relevant service and senior analysts need six. The Accountant I post asks for three years, plus a degree with CPA Part II, or CPA Part III. The two Senior Driver posts ask for KCSE D plain and nine years of driving experience, with first aid and supervisory courses. The one to look at if you're earlier in your career is Supply Chain Management Officer II: its requirements list a relevant degree and computer skills, and no years of service.

To apply, you'll need the NQCL employment form, your national ID, certificates, a signed application letter and a CV with three referees. You must send both a sealed hard copy marked confidential with the job reference number, and a soft copy in PDF. The address and email are in the advert on the NQCL jobs page.

The deadline is 16 November 2026 at 23:59. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and canvassing leads to disqualification.

Applying is free and nobody should pay for a job.
