The Judiciary has cancelled its 2026 internship programme, so ignore the July advert

The Judicial Service Commission says the internship advert it published on 24 July 2026 is cancelled because the budget does not cover the programme this financial year. The July call offered 201 places.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has cancelled its internship programme. In a public notice posted on its website on 23 October 2026, the JSC tells the public to disregard the advert published on 24 July 2026, because there is not enough money for the programme in the current financial year.

The July call for applications offered 151 places for degree graduates at a gross stipend of KES 25,000 a month, and 50 places for diploma graduates at KES 20,000 a month. The placements were for 12 months with no renewal, and applications closed on 13 August 2026.

The notice doesn't give a new intake or a new date. It says any further news about internships will come through the Commission's official channels.

Be careful if anyone says they can still get you into this programme. It's cancelled, so there's no place to sell. The July advert also said clearly that the Commission does not ask for any money.

If you were counting on this placement, the lists below show internships and early-career roles that are open now.

Applying is free and nobody should pay for a job.
