Job summary
The maintenance technician will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and safe operation of industrial machinery, production equipment, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate must be a highly skilled, hands-on industrial maintenance professional with strong competence in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, capable of independently diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, installations, preventive maintenance, and equipment commissioning with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial production equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, control panels, contactors, relays, breakers, sensors, switches, VFDs, starters, and basic PLC-controlled systems.
- Maintain mechanical systems, including gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, chains, sprockets, rollers, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out industrial electrical and mechanical installations, equipment relocation, modifications, and commissioning.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Perform equipment alignment, fitting, lubrication, welding/fabrication, and mechanical assembly where required.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and identify potential equipment failures before breakdown occurs.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly, establish the root cause, and implement effective permanent corrective solutions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and equipment service history.
- Support TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
- Apply strict LOTO and industrial safety procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Diploma in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or equipment-intensive environment.
- Hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Strong experience in industrial installations, machinery commissioning, fault-finding, and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to work independently and resolve complex equipment breakdowns with minimal supervision.
- Practical knowledge of three-phase systems, motors, VFDs, sensors, control panels, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, and rotating equipment.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, mechanical fitting, and general industrial maintenance..
