Head Chef

• Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow.
• Supervise food preparation and presentation to maintain quality and consistency.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time to meet customer expectations.
• Develop and update menus considering customer preferences and seasonal availability.
• Manage food costing and control inventory to maintain profitability and reduce waste.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, assign duties, and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Address customer feedback related to food and work with management to improve dining experiences.

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in food production, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or Head Chef role.
• Knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and budget control.
• Experience managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring food safety compliance.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong skills in culinary techniques and food presentation.
• Leadership qualities and ability to manage a team effectively.
• Good organisational and planning skills.

The salary offered ranges from KSh 50,000 to 60,000 per month.
