Field Officer (Fixed Term Contract)

• Conduct surveys during various enrollment stages such as census, registration, and audit.
• Explain GiveDirectly's program and recipient rights clearly to participants.
• Assist recipients through the enrollment process with empathy and professionalism.
• Handle recipient questions and complaints on-site, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Collect and review data using mobile devices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in quality assurance activities like spot checks and refresher trainings.
• Build and maintain relationships with local leaders and communities to support program rollouts.
• Safeguard organizational assets and report any logistical or equipment issues.
• Identify and document recipient stories to support fundraising efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
• Proficiency in Kamba language is mandatory.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
• Maturity in handling community challenges and communicating with recipients and leaders.
• Physical fitness to work in challenging field conditions.
• High integrity, empathy, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude.
• Comfortable working in rural and remote environments.
• Tech-savvy with experience using smartphones or tablets for data collection.
• Fresh graduates from Kitui County are highly encouraged to apply.
