What you will do
- Process and approve supplier invoices accurately.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and follow up on discrepancies.
- Maintain supplier records and payment documentation.
- Prepare payment schedules and monitor supplier balances and ageing.
- Respond to supplier payment queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with financial accounting tasks including posting transactions and preparing reports.
- Support statutory compliance by helping prepare returns and maintaining records.
- Assist with reconciliations, internal controls, and audit preparations.
- Help maintain the Fixed Asset Register and support related accounting activities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from a recognized institution.
- 1-2 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Creditors, Finance or similar role.
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable, supplier reconciliations and financial accounting.
- Understanding of Kenyan taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- CPA(K) Part I or above or equivalent accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Experience with SUN Financial, Materials Control or similar systems is an advantage.
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality is an advantage.
