Accountant

• Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, journals, and supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly financial reports such as income statements, expenditure reports, and cash flow summaries.
• Assist in budgeting, monitor expenditure, and analyse financial performance against budgets.
• Record financial transactions promptly and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Process supplier invoices, verify documents, and ensure timely payments.
• Manage customer invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash transactions, and support cash flow management.
• Assist in preparing and filing tax returns including VAT, PAYE, and withholding tax.
• Maintain financial documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements to financial controls and accounting procedures.

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience in digital technology, telecommunications, IT services, logistics, fleet management, or subscription-based businesses is preferred.

The salary is KSh 25,000 net per month.
