Purpose of the Role
- Ensure accurate financial management of construction projects.
- Strengthen cost control and compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide timely financial reporting and analysis to support project decisions.
- Enhance collaboration between finance, project managers, and contractors.
- Improve visibility and accountability of project expenditures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations.
- Monitor project expenditures and reconcile accounts.
- Support audits and implement internal controls.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and suppliers on financial matters.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
- Prepare dashboards, variance analyses, and project summaries.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
- Support structured financial governance processes.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA(K), ACCA, or CFA certification.
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in project accounting, preferably in construction.
Competencies
- Construction project finance and cost control.
- Financial reporting and compliance.
- ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary disclosed: KES 250,000 - 300,000
