About this role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Auditing & Verification

  • Conduct regular stock audits and physical stock counts to verify inventory quantities against system records.
  • Identify, investigate and document stock variances, discrepancies, losses and other inventory irregularities.
  • Follow up on identified variances and work with relevant teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Inventory Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare accurate stock reports covering inventory balances, variances, movements, adjustments and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyse inventory data to identify trends, unusual movements, discrepancies and potential areas of stock loss.
  • Provide timely inventory insights and reports to management to support decision-making and inventory control.

ERP & Data Management

  • Use ERP systems to generate, review and analyse inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Ensure stock records and inventory information are accurately captured and maintained within the system.
  • Reconcile system records against physical stock and supporting documentation and escalate discrepancies where necessary.

Excel & Data Analysis

  • Use advanced Excel functions, formulas and data analysis tools to analyse large volumes of inventory data.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, trackers and reports for stock reconciliation, variance analysis and audit purposes.
  • Ensure all calculations, data entries and reports are accurate, consistent and properly maintained.

Inventory Controls & Compliance

  • Review stock handling and inventory control processes to identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure stock movements, adjustments, transfers and other inventory transactions are properly documented and authorised.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of inventory control procedures to minimise errors, losses and discrepancies.

Documentation & Follow-Up

  • Maintain accurate records of stock audits, physical counts, reconciliations, variances and corrective actions.
  • Prepare clear documentation and evidence to support audit findings and inventory adjustments.
  • Follow up on outstanding audit issues and provide updates until identified discrepancies are resolved.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Over 1 year of experience in stock auditing, inventory analysis, stock control or a related role
  • Practical experience using ERP systems and advanced Excel for inventory analysis and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong inventory auditing and reconciliation skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems to generate and analyse reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
