Our client is a company operating in the lubricants industry, offering automotive, industrial and specialty lubricant products. The organization is focused on sales growth, customer acquisition, market penetration and channel development across its assigned markets.
Job purpose
The Lubricants Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, customer acquisition, market penetration and channel development for the company’s automotive, industrial and specialty lubricant products within the assigned territory.
Main responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Acquire and develop new customers across automotive, industrial and Specialty segments to increase sales volume and revenue.
- Grow sales within existing customer accounts through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow up qualified leads and opportunities.
Channel & Customer Management
- Identify, appoint and develop suitable wholesalers, distributors, dealers and retailers.
- Manage and support channel partners to achieve agreed sales and distribution objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, workshops, fleet operators and industrial customers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts and credit terms within approved company guidelines.
- Resolve customer complains and ensure high customer satisfaction
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor brands, pricing, products, promotions and distribution.
- Identify competitor activities and recommend appropriate commercial responses.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of customers, prospects, distributors, dealers, retailers and workshops.
- Provide management with timely market intelligence and actionable recommendations.
Marketing, Promotions & Demand Creation
- Plan and execute approved sales promotions, trade schemes and marketing campaigns.
- Increase brand visibility and product availability within the assigned territory.
- Organize and participate in exhibitions, trade events, product demonstrations and customer engagement activities.
- Plan and conduct product awareness and training programs for industrial customers, aftermarket customers, workshops and mechanics.
Collections, Credit & Operations
- Ensure sales are conducted within approved credit terms and limits.
- Coordinate with Finance on overdue accounts and credit concerns.
- Escalate credit risks promptly.
- Coordinate with Logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer orders.
- Follow up pending orders and communicate delivery status to customers.
Experience & Education required:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Technical/automotive qualifications will be an added advantage.
- 2–4 years’ experience in sales or business development.
- Experience in lubricants, petroleum, automotive aftermarket, industrial products, engineering products or other technical B2B sales will be an advantage.
- Experience managing distributors, dealers, retailers or key accounts will be an advantage.
- Certifications: Degree/Diploma Certificate from recognized institution.
