What you will do
- Lead and mentor branch staff to achieve the organisation's mission and objectives.
- Implement credit risk policies and oversee loan assessments and approvals.
- Conduct credit committee meetings and monitor loan quality and delinquency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as KYC, AML, and data privacy.
- Plan and evaluate branch staffing, conduct performance appraisals, and identify training needs.
- Achieve financial targets including disbursement, client acquisition, collections, and profitability.
- Promote the use of digital banking tools among staff and clients.
- Develop branch business plans and maintain relationships with clients and local partners.
- Monitor market trends and lead marketing and community outreach activities.
- Uphold client protection principles and organise financial literacy trainings.
- Prepare and submit regular branch performance reports.
- Support other branches and the head office as needed.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in microfinance or retail banking operations.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting abilities.
- Knowledge of credit operations, compliance, and financial services.
- Experience in fraud prevention, audit compliance, and internal controls.
