Mechanical Technician

• Update preventive maintenance checklists and analyse machine running hours, greasing, oil levels, temperatures, foundation bolt firmness, cleanliness, and safety.
• Respond promptly to breakdown notifications and check for abnormal sounds, temperature, or vibration in machines.
• Ensure maintenance schedules are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
• Track equipment, tools, and spare parts inventory and escalate reordering needs.
• Follow and update equipment preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working conditions for tools and equipment.
• Modify machines after installation to improve performance.
• Carry out welding and fabrication to fix leakages during installation of machines or pipelines.
• Prepare daily reports on machine conditions, performance, breakdowns, repairs, and pending work.
• Prepare shift handover reports.
• Analyse machine running hours.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Experience in production and ability to follow work instructions.
• Ability to weld with good finish and basic innovativeness.
• Mechanical and safety knowledge.
• Fluent in Swahili and English with strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and attention to detail.
• Team player.
