Mechanical Engineer

• Carry out stainless steel fabrication including cutting, measuring, marking, bending, grinding, and assembling metal parts.
• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and compatible metals ensuring strong and precise welds.
• Polish, grind, and finish fabricated products to meet surface quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications accurately.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble stainless steel structures and mechanical components.
• Inspect fabricated components and welds to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Operate and maintain welding machines and other workshop equipment safely, adhering to health and safety procedures.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in stainless steel fabrication, TIG welding, metal fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Practical experience specifically in TIG welding on stainless steel.
• Good knowledge of metal fabrication processes, welding techniques, and workshop machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Understanding of dimensional measurements, tolerances, material selection, and quality control.
• Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety practices in fabrication or manufacturing environments.

The salary range is KSh 50,000 to 70,000 per month.
