What you will do
- Collect and compile fisheries statistical data from field officers.
- Analyse fisheries data and prepare reports.
- Support monitoring, control, and surveillance of fisheries resources.
- Carry out fisheries extension activities.
- Maintain ponds at fish farms and hatcheries.
- Inspect fish and fish handling facilities at landing sites, markets, and farms.
- Assist in promoting fish marketing and value addition.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Zoology, Aquatic Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science, Biological Sciences, Physical Science, Chemistry or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognised institution.
Benefits
The salary ranges from KES 41,420 to KES 57,230. The position is permanent and pensionable.
