Job Requirements
For
appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Served in the
grade of Chief Sports Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- Bachelor’s degree
in any of the following disciplines; Physical Education, Sports Science or Leisure and Recreation Management from recognized institution; OR
- Bachelor’s degree
in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration
and Management or equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
- Certificate in
Senior Management Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from recognized institution;
- Certificate in
Computer Application from recognized institution
- Demonstrate merit
and ability as reflection in work performance results.

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Coordinating preparation of sports annual and quarterly workplans, sports highlights and reports;
ii. Liaising with relevant stakeholders in identifying land for sports infrastructure development
iii. Partnering with public and private organization in developing sports facilities and related infrastructure, liaising with sub- branches of sports Federations, clubs and teams in conducting clinics on the set sports standards;
iv. Recommending exceptionally talented persons to the county sports office, Federations, clubs or Sports Academics for further training;
v. Coordinating Ex-officio membership activities in sports management, training and development;
vi. Monitoring and evaluating sports programs in the district.
Salary disclosed: KES 60,080 - 96,130
