Evolve GIB Product Owner

• Translate approved product priorities into a clear, prioritised backlog with testable work items.
• Maintain coherence and control across the end-to-end general insurance journey including quotation, underwriting, policy service, claims, and reinsurance.
• Ensure backlog hygiene by managing priority, ageing, and readiness of work items before sprint commitment.
• Identify and escalate ambiguities, rule gaps, and decision points early to relevant teams.
• Support sprint planning, UAT, demos, and release readiness by preparing necessary product inputs and tracking progress.
• Maintain and follow up on product-level dependencies and blockers until resolved.
• Audit and report weekly on backlog quality, risks, decisions, and recovery actions to improve delivery processes.

• Have 3 to 7 years of experience in roles such as Product Owner, Business Analyst, or delivery analyst.
• Possess working knowledge of General Insurance Business processes, controls, users, data, and integrations; insurance or fintech experience is preferred.
• Be skilled in Agile planning, refinement, Jira or workflow tools, UAT, release readiness, and dependency and defect control.
• Demonstrate technical literacy to understand APIs, data, business rules, environments, security, and integration dependencies without owning solution design.
• Communicate clearly in writing, facilitate meetings, maintain decision records, and escalate issues timely.
• Show behaviours including ownership, curiosity, discipline with evidence, integrity, collaboration, urgency, and calmness under pressure.
• Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience; Product Owner or Agile certification is desirable but not mandatory.
