What you will do
- Lead training and enforce compliance with statutory, client, and company EHS requirements.
- Develop risk assessments for routine tasks and ensure risks are mitigated.
- Conduct job safety analyses for non-routine tasks and implement mitigation measures.
- Ensure timely provision of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Create training materials, provide training, and monitor safe working procedures.
- Perform regular facility inspections and ensure closure of identified safety gaps.
- Ensure timely medical examinations and conduct necessary induction and statutory trainings.
- Inspect and certify equipment including statutory compliance.
- Investigate incidents when they occur.
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation and prepare monthly and ad hoc reports.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working as an EHS officer in a busy manufacturing environment.
- A degree in occupational health and safety, environmental studies, or a related field with relevant EHS training certification.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of safety awareness.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent supervisory and people management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
