Commis Chef- INCA (Grill)

• Help prepare and cook food on the grill following recipes and instructions.
• Portion and prepare meat, poultry, seafood, and other ingredients as needed.
• Support the making of marinades, sauces, and accompaniments.
• Learn and apply grilling techniques, including managing cooking temperatures and timings.
• Ensure dishes are cooked thoroughly, meet quality standards, and are presented well.
• Assist with plating and garnishing before service.
• Keep the grill station clean, organised, and ready before and during service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination.
• Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels, reporting shortages or issues.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service and support colleagues during busy times.

• A certificate or diploma in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous kitchen experience, especially in a grill section, is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of grilling methods and food preparation is needed.
• Experience handling meat, poultry, and seafood is an advantage.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and temperature control is required.
• Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Must manage time effectively and work well under pressure.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn are important.
