What you will do
- Review engineering tasks comprehensively, including problem statements, models, load cases, simulation data, computational environments, reference solutions, and automated tests.
- Validate tasks in areas such as structural analysis, finite-element analysis, earthquake and wind engineering, structural dynamics, geotechnical modeling, hydraulics, hydrology, transportation, and infrastructure systems.
- Ensure tasks require complex, multi-step engineering reasoning and reflect real-world civil and structural engineering workflows.
- Verify technical accuracy regarding units, equilibrium, boundary conditions, load combinations, design codes, numerical stability, convergence, and safety factors.
- Validate computational models, solvers, dependencies, and simulation outputs for accuracy and reproducibility.
- Review automated graders to confirm they assess meaningful engineering outputs like forces, deflections, drifts, settlements, safety factors, flow rates, and structural performance.
- Provide technical feedback, track task revisions, mentor 5–10 trainers, allocate work, monitor quality and productivity, and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced expertise in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field.

- Be proficient in Linux and command-line environments.
- Have hands-on experience in at least one key area such as structural analysis, finite-element analysis, earthquake engineering, geotechnical modeling, or hydraulic/hydrological modeling.
- Understand engineering principles, numerical methods, simulation workflows, and computational model validation.
- Have working knowledge of engineering design standards like ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, or IS codes.
- Have experience reviewing complex technical work, simulations, research outputs, or computational models.
- Demonstrate strong analytical judgment to identify engineering inaccuracies and flawed assumptions.
- Have experience mentoring, reviewing, or leading small technical teams.
- Possess excellent written communication skills for providing technical feedback and documentation.
