What you will do
- Prepare site grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Develop existing and proposed surfaces, contours, profiles, and feature lines.
- Perform calculations related to runoff, cut-and-fill, drainage, and stormwater storage.
- Design storm sewer networks, drywells, infiltration systems, and detention or retention facilities.
- Prepare construction drawings and update plans based on engineering review feedback.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and civil site development.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and design site elements independently.
- Good understanding of grading, hydrology, drainage systems, stormwater management, and utilities.
- Experience with projects in the U.S. and knowledge of New York stormwater regulations is preferred but not required.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is not mandatory, but candidates should have the skills and engineering judgement expected of an experienced site engineer.
- Candidates with only drafting experience are not suitable for this position.
