Requirements

  • Master's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Social Science, or related field with at least seven years relevant experience, or a university degree with nine years relevant experience.
  • At least five years managing humanitarian response and recovery projects in non-OECD countries.
  • Experience in project development, capacity building, liaison, resource mobilization, and advocacy with governmental, diplomatic, and civil society actors.
  • Experience working in international, inter-governmental, non-governmental organizations, United Nations, or government.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex contexts effectively.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of international standards relevant to humanitarian response and recovery.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
