What you will do
- Develop, implement, and monitor site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) plans and procedures.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits, including toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction training.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and coordinate emergency preparedness drills.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards, and manage quality control records.
- Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, dust control, noise levels, and hazardous materials handling.
- Prepare QHSE reports, maintain records, liaise with regulatory authorities, and ensure valid licenses and permits are maintained.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working on a construction site.
- Working knowledge of Management Systems such as QMS ISO 9001, EMS ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
- NEBOSH certification is an added advantage.
