What you will do
- Assist in implementing and monitoring daily and weekly production plans, reporting any deviations to the Production Supervisor.
- Keep accurate records of production, safety, and quality documentation.
- Support safety committee tasks, including employee training and promoting workplace safety awareness.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Help oversee routine production activities to maintain order, discipline, and efficiency on the production floor.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department to secure necessary resources and materials for production.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in preparing production reports for management.
- Maintain maintenance records for machinery and help coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
- Follow up with external service providers to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Document supplier issues and manage follow-up plans to resolve outstanding matters.
- Assist in investigating safety incidents, quality issues, and operational problems, preparing reports with findings and corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive measures from operational issues.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, organised, and efficient production environment.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Two to three years of experience working in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Experience in coordinating production activities and supporting production teams.
- Familiarity with production documentation, reporting, and monitoring processes.
- Understanding of workplace safety, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Training or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, GMP, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Management is preferred.
