What you will do

  • Plan and oversee daily coffee processing based on customer instructions and priorities.
  • Check that the correct coffee lot, marks, bags, and quantities are ready before processing starts.
  • Ensure processing follows approved customer instructions exactly.
  • Assign labour, machinery, and processing areas according to workload and monitor overtime.
  • Track production output against daily targets and resolve delays or bottlenecks immediately.
  • Coordinate equipment availability with maintenance teams.
  • Keep accurate processing records and prepare daily reports on production, outstanding jobs, equipment downtime, labour use, losses, and issues needing management attention.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Lead daily toolbox or shift briefings.
  • Identify ways to improve processing efficiency and turnaround time.
  • Provide precise data for job costing and productivity analysis.
  • Ensure clear identification and separation of coffee during processing.
  • Train employees on standard operating procedures, product handling, and equipment use.
  • Ensure processed coffee is properly handed back to warehouse inventory control after completion.

Requirements

  • Experience in coffee warehousing, milling, processing, or export operations.
  • Knowledge of green coffee grades and handling requirements.
  • Training in health, safety and environment (HSE), food safety, quality management, or 5S.
  • Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems.
