Montessori Teacher (PP1)

• Plan and deliver Montessori lessons and activities suitable for the children's age to encourage independent learning and development.
• Prepare and present Montessori materials effectively, ensuring learners understand their use and develop skills progressively.
• Observe individual learners and tailor activities to their developmental needs, interests, and learning pace.
• Create a child-friendly classroom environment that supports Montessori principles and encourages independence.
• Support learners' cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional growth through appropriate activities and interactions.
• Ensure learners' safety, health, hygiene, and wellbeing throughout the school day, following child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain communication with parents about learners' progress and participate in school activities and meetings.

• Diploma or Certificate in Montessori Education from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 to 3 years teaching experience in a Montessori setting.
• Strong knowledge of Montessori philosophy, methodology, and child development principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, nurturing, and child-centred approach.
• First Aid and child safety/safeguarding training is preferred but not required.

The salary is KSh 25,000 per month.
