Laboratory Technologist[3]

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Diploma in any of the following fields:-Applied Sciences (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry), Laboratory or Biotechnology from a recognized institution

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:- (i) cleaning and Sterilizing laboratory glassware (ii) documenting and receiving samples for analysis; (iii) preparing laboratory reagents; (iv) preparing and analyzing geological samples, gemstones; and (v) disposing Laboratory waste.
