Information Communication Technology Officer I

• Implement ICT policies, strategies, regulations, standards and guidelines.
• Conduct cybersecurity surveillance and provide recommendations.
• Support systems audit processes.
• Assist ICT innovation and commercialization initiatives.
• Help implement environmentally friendly digital technologies and e-waste management strategies.
• Contribute to data management strategies and digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide technical support for digitalizing government services.
• Install and configure ICT systems, databases, applications, networks, data center services and communication systems.
• Support system and data backups and recovery.
• Implement standard operating procedures for ICT infrastructure, software applications, systems and business continuity.
• Collect ICT operational data for reporting and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, software and hardware issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair and upkeep of ICT equipment and software.
• Manage ICT help desk services and provide end user support and training.
• Assist users with information security management and related procedures.
• Support ICT risk management strategies.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Communications Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Data Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Cyber Security or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

The salary range is KES 41,420 to 57,230. The position is permanent and pensionable.
