What you will do
- Assess revenue and manage collection and accounting for assigned revenue streams.
- Identify and register new revenue payers and update the database.
- Issue demand notices, invoices, and receipts using the approved revenue system.
- Follow up on revenue arrears and defaulters.
- Conduct field inspections and surveys on revenue sources.
- Prepare revenue collection returns and reports.
- Guide and supervise Revenue Officers and Revenue Assistants.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Have knowledge of the Nairobi City County Revenue Administration Act, 2021 and the Public Finance Management Act, 2012.
- Be proficient in computer applications and revenue management systems.
- Demonstrate integrity and commitment to produce results with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Benefits
The salary range is KES 46,120 to 65,860 per month. The position is permanent and pensionable.
