What you will do
- Conduct security risk assessments and suggest ways to reduce risks
- Prevent theft and damage to company and client property
- Rotate sub-contracted security guards regularly
- Log all reported incidents and ensure they are reported to the right person with proper follow-up
- Lead investigations into incidents and work with local police on cases involving intrusion or cargo issues
- Ensure all employees and clients follow security procedures within the premises
- Manage access points and control rooms to ensure they are properly staffed
- Oversee CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, keeping all security equipment in good working order
- Maintain records and safe custody of all main door keys
- Ensure all items leaving the premises have proper authorization and gate passes
- Manage the subcontracted security company on site
- Train employees on security awareness and procedures
Requirements
- Diploma in Security Studies or equivalent
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a busy environment involving warehouse and transport operations
