What you will do

  • Transport learners, staff, and authorised persons safely as assigned.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of learners during journeys.
  • Inspect the vehicle regularly and report any mechanical faults.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and roadworthy.
  • Follow all traffic laws, road safety rules, and school transport procedures.
  • Record trip details, fuel use, mileage, and maintenance accurately.
  • Report accidents, incidents, delays, and transport issues promptly.
  • Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs according to schedules.
  • Perform other duties assigned by school management.

Requirements

  • Be aged between 35 and 40 years.
  • Hold a valid driving licence with Class D1, D2, and D3 categories as applicable.
  • Have a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • Have a good driving record and strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
  • Be physically fit, reliable, punctual, disciplined, and professional.
  • Show patience and appropriate interaction skills with learners.
  • Be willing to work within set hours and follow supervisors' instructions.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience driving a school bus or working in a school or institutional setting is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.
