What you will do

  • Record and reconcile revenue from various hospital services including inpatient, outpatient, pharmacy, laboratory, and diagnostics.
  • Compare daily collections with hospital system records and bank deposits, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Check cashier receipts and classify income correctly by service and payment type.
  • Oversee cashier operations, ensuring accurate payment posting, receipt issuance, cash handovers, and bank deposits.
  • Review daily reconciliations and enforce adherence to cash-handling procedures and financial controls.
  • Prepare revenue reports by department and payer category to aid financial planning.
  • Analyse revenue variances, identify leakages or underperformance, and suggest improvements.
  • Support audit processes by maintaining thorough documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
  • CPA qualification, at least Section 4.
  • Minimum of three years relevant experience in a similar-sized organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and hospital management systems, especially billing and revenue modules.
  • Excellent analytical skills including variance analysis and identifying revenue leakages.
  • Attention to detail when reviewing financial records and reconciliations.
  • Understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance.
  • Ability to supervise and support cashiering teams.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
