What you will do

  • Establish and maintain efficient nursing workflows for migration health assessments, including medical exams, vaccinations, TB management, and documentation.
  • Provide technical advice and coordinate vaccination programmes across regional operations.
  • Support resource management, including staffing recommendations, recruitment, and inventory oversight for medical supplies and cold chain systems.
  • Develop and instruct best practice nursing guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate nurse education programmes, including training on vaccinations and clinical standards.
  • Monitor clinical practices using auditing tools and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Serve as Regional Infection Prevention and Control Officer and oversee adverse event surveillance related to immunization.
  • Coordinate medical document flow and data quality control.
  • Support pre-departure health activities and treatment follow-up in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Plan and organize mobile or surge missions and supervise communication with non-IOM panel physicians.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for regional migration health programmes and data consolidation.
  • Coordinate medical escort duties to ensure continued care during migration.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with partners for information sharing and follow-up.
  • Prepare and share survey and statistical reports as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing with five years relevant experience including two years management, or a university degree with seven years clinical experience including three years management.
  • Experience in tuberculosis management, mass immunizations, communicable diseases, laboratory testing, or public health is an advantage.
  • Mandatory experience implementing quality control and quality assurance principles.
  • Desirable experience developing nursing guidelines and instructions.
  • Knowledge of IOM databases and applications is an advantage.
  • Previous international experience in health assessment programmes is a plus.
  • Nursing experience in both international and national settings.
  • Experience in reviewing and accrediting nursing degrees and diplomas.
  • Demonstrated senior-level managerial skills are required.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required.
  • Working knowledge of other UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.
