What you will do

  • Partner with the Regional Director and leadership team to provide financial and commercial insight for decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning for the East Africa region, ensuring alignment across markets and early identification of deviations.
  • Analyse pricing and profitability by customer, product, channel, and market, including cost and margin factors.
  • Develop financial frameworks for the Kenya hub and retail expansion, including economic models and investment analysis.
  • Prepare and assess business cases for new ventures and investments, providing recommendations.
  • Forecast working capital and cash flow, explaining drivers and alerting to funding needs.
  • Coordinate finance matters among Market Control, Country Accountants, Group Finance, and other stakeholders to provide clear responses to the Regional Director.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial finance and business partnering across multiple countries.
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and investment analysis.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial issues simply and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation.
  • Broad finance knowledge to liaise with specialists in accounting, tax, treasury, and control.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial modelling.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP, BI, and financial planning tools is preferred.
