What you will do

  • Provide regular analytical updates on El Niño CCCM response, including displacement trends and priority needs.
  • Draft and consolidate post-flooding needs assessments for recovery and transition planning.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and situation updates for management, donors, government, and partners.
  • Update CCCM programme monitoring and MEAL products covering key indicators and beneficiary feedback.
  • Maintain programme planning and performance trackers with deliverables, targets, and timelines.
  • Support CCCM programme development and funding processes, including concept notes and proposals.
  • Document lessons learned and good practices from CCCM programming and El Niño response.
  • Provide temporary coverage for CCCM Information Management during maternity leave.
  • Support internal programme planning, including reviewing and updating the CCCM organogram.
  • Assist with operational tasks related to community engagement, inclusion, women and girls' empowerment, and capacity strengthening.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in international relations, Political Science, Business or Public Administration, Humanitarian Affairs, Conflict Studies, or related field with two years' relevant experience; or a university degree with four years' relevant experience.
  • Experience working with CCCM programmes in IDP, refugee, or migration settings.
  • Experience developing proposals, concept notes, and project designs in humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience in project and donor reporting meeting organizational standards.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, including methodology development and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of CCCM thematic areas, humanitarian systems, and mandates of UN, IOM, and NGOs; familiarity with Somalia is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection tools like Kobo Collect and ODK.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Somali.
  • Preferred: experience in communication and information product development, and use of design software like Adobe InDesign.
