What you will do
- Assist in booking payroll journals and ensure timely filing and remittance of Withholding Tax and VAT to KRA.
- Review and reconcile monthly payroll data with Workday.
- Prepare journals related to NCBA Bank and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Respond to staff queries on financial systems like Concur and Provision, providing timely support.
- Book and reconcile staff cash deposits and process staff advances and refunds, tracking outstanding advances for timely settlement.
- Process weekly supplier payments and reconcile supplier statements to ensure on-time payments.
- Follow up with field teams to confirm scheduled payment disbursements using Payment Status Reports.
- Review supplier invoices and supporting documents, create entries on Provision, and coordinate corrections with Shared Service teams.
- Monitor daily transactions from WVSudan bank accounts and support monthly bank reconciliations.
- Facilitate staff advances for grant project personnel in compliance with travel advance policies.
- Process petty cash reimbursements and disbursements with approved documentation.
- Monitor petty cash fund balance, approve top-ups, and ensure compliance with donor regulations and cash-management guidelines.
- Prepare monthly petty cash reports and reconciliations, submitting statements timely.
- Support internal and external finance audits by preparing and submitting required financial information and documents.
- Follow up on audit and finance review recommendations to ensure timely implementation.
- Prepare inter-country cost allocations using the Blackline system and participate in month-end close processes including bank reconciliations and booking regional costs.
- Reconcile monthly UNHAS prepayments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Accounts, Finance, or Economics.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Excel, Sun systems, and Word.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' finance experience, preferably with international organisations.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to achieve quality results and services.
- Clear, deep, and broad thinking skills.
- Understanding of the humanitarian industry.
- Familiarity with World Vision's mission and operations.
- Commitment to learning and growth.
- Fluency in English.
