What you will do

  • Help create various communication materials such as meeting notes, emails, draft documents, and social media content.
  • Assist in coordinating activities within the Communication Division and with other departments, including sharing information and tracking tasks.
  • Support partnerships related to major UNEP events by handling inquiries, scheduling meetings, conducting research, maintaining databases, and monitoring relevant data.
  • Assist with outreach efforts for public advocacy campaigns by liaising with partners and following up on communications.
  • Help organise and coordinate internal and external meetings and events, including preparing agendas and documentation.
  • Contribute to preparing campaign briefings, reports, and other communication materials.
  • Provide administrative and project management support as needed.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate degree (second university degree or higher), or be in the final year or have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred fields of study include Communication, International Affairs, or Environment-related areas.
  • No prior work experience is required.
  • Good knowledge of standard software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
  • Applicants must provide proof of their academic status or completion.
