Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and petty cash
- Process payroll and statutory deductions
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns (KRA, VAT, PAYE, NSSF, SHA, etc.)
- Prepare budgets and monitor expenditure
- Track expenses and manage cash flow
- Issue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Support external audits and provide necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA (Part II or above) or equivalent qualification is an added advantage
- Proven experience in an accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and statutory requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information
- Good communication and organizational skills
